The Anthem "Phoenix" community all started with the Famous Anthem Outlet Stores in 1995, which became one of the most successful Outlet malls in the United States. In 1999, Del Webb, who built Sun City in 1954, purchased almost 5,100 acres to build Anthem "Phoenix", which is one of the most successful master planned communities in the United States. Del Webb was able to secure 100 year water rights from the neighboring Native American community to help this great community emerge into what it is today. Anthem "Phoenix" is split into two Communities, Anthem Parkside and the Anthem Country Club.

Anthem Community Park (click here), a 63-acre recreation area, which includes:
- The Daisy Mountain Railroad, which follows a 2,800-foot track through the scenic park
